Social Media Platforms – which ones to use

If there is one social media platform that has stood the test of time it has to be Facebook. I don’t claim to be an expert in Socal Media, simply because it moves on too quickly and it is hard to keep up. This year, I’ve stopped using Twitter or “X” as it is now called. Some small businesses use Linkedin but I recommend all small businesses that are targetting the general public in their local area to maintain a good Facebook Page and invest some money in boosting posts. Some small businesses operate with only a Facebook Page and no website. This is the not the best approach to digital marketing but it is better than nothing at all. It is certainly better than having a website that is out of date, unsecure or not mobile friendly. At least Facebook Pages are designed for mobile phones and are generally kept up to date by their owners. It has made the process of sharing photo and video content very easy. If you only choose one platform, make sure you update it regulary with shareable content.
